This project involved a full exterior envelope modernization for a community facility in Ontario. The scope began with selective demolition of existing wall assemblies to expose the structural substrate. Following removal, new cement board sheathing was installed to create a stable, moisture-resistant base for the updated façade system.
Concrete panel cladding and metal flashings were then integrated to protect wall transitions, window perimeters, and base conditions from water intrusion. Precision detailing ensured consistent alignment, sealed joints, and long-term durability under seasonal freeze–thaw cycles.
To complete the exterior renewal, perimeter landscaping was introduced using river rock installation along the base of the building. This provides drainage control, reduces soil splash-back on wall surfaces, and enhances the finished architectural appearance.
The completed work results in a modernized, weather-protected building envelope with improved performance, clean aesthetics, and extended service life.
